Short description of error

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
When I try to zoom into an object, the view port stops short of the object. I have tried clicking on the object and clicking the period key. That centers the view port to the object, but the zoom still stops short of the object, when using control or the scroll on the mouse. I can hold control and shift to zoom the rest of the way in, but then it changes the pivot point of the view port, which is the other issue. It took me 30 minutes just now to adjust 3 lights inside a building I am working on. I would get the lights selected and try to rotate the view port to see what I was doing. The view port started rotating so far off of center that the view port would go completely out of the building. Is there a setting that I could change to keep the view port centered wherever it is at the time instead of getting offset?

Hi, thanks for the report.

When I try to zoom into an object, the view port stops short of the object

Likely to be the same issue- T93273: Zoom stops at certain level and won't go further
Can you confirm?

Is there a setting that I could change to keep the view port centered wherever it is at the time instead of getting offset?

Enabling Orbit Around Selection may work for you: EditPreferencesNavigationOrbit & PanOrbit Around Selection
