Short description of error
Invert visible face sets hides all faces with Multires modifier.
Operator is expected to only hide visible faces (and unhides hidden faces)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open .blend file
  • Use box hide brush to hide vertices

Hi, thanks for the report. Description is not clear to me.
You mean all faces will be hidden when operator Invert Visible is used? I can confirm in that case.

That is, after hiding the mesh, it will be hidden when running the inversion operation. If there is no multires modifier, it is normal inversion implicit

The hiding gesture tools were never properly integrated into the new face set visibility state in multires. I'd mark this as a known issue for now.
Further multires improvements should fix this.
