Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error

Weird shapes seem to appear when the subdivision modifier is used.

Interestingly it gets corrected when applied. It happens only incase of not applying. When the modifier hasnt been applied there are weird shapes observed.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open the attached blend file.
  2. Add a subdivision surface modifier

[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)

Thanks!
