Worked: 3.0.1

Short description of error
After linking a collection to a new blend file and then making it a library override, I find that I can't toggle the visibility/viewport/render. I have to first go make each collection and each item under the collection editable (id data->make library override editable)

Was there a reason for that change? In blender 301 the library override allows you to toggle visibility/viewport/render without having to go and first make everything editable. There isn't even a way to recursively select the top collection and make everything under it editable.

You can imagine with large libraries this can get very time consuming.

And I think it's useful to be able to turn off the render/visibility of specific elements of the library from the file linking the library.

You are probably better of using these buttons in the Outliner (Library Overrides / Hierarchies) view:

This is probably all intended behavior (and still kind of WIP, will dig out specifics in a bit)

So talked to @Bastien Montagne (mont29) in chat and this is indeed too much work in progress to be accepted as a bug report.
Future improvements to UI/UX etx are handled here T95708: Library Override - Usability -- this will include batch-edit settings amongst others.

So thx reporting, but will archive this for now.
