Selection while using Mirror Modifier Problem

Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Selection acts as Xray mode (selecting back face elements), while using mirror modifier and selecting elements in a view angle facing more over the mirrored part, as if the mirrored part doesn't exists, and you are selecting elements on a half object, refer to the screen shots and blend file might be more helpful for explaining.

Thanks for the report but this is not something new.
Blender has always worked like this when selecting in edit mode.
It is not considered a bug.
Changing this behavior is simple, but not something we can do as a bug fix.
