same problem also win 7 no plugins just installed. Blender version 2.8 shading tab closes blender with no warning or chance to save. I too have a "intel(R) HD Graphics 4000" that says it is up to date. clicking on shading from the workspace add also crashes it. luckly right clicking over the shading tab does bring up the menu to enable me to remove the shading tab.
