I have no doubt it could be, I've read in a few places that AN isn't playing nice with 2.8 but at least as far as I can tell I followed the tutorial precisely and it wasn't doing that in 2.80, only started doing that after trying 2.82 Anyway, I think I'm going to move on to a different tutorial. Thanks again for the help Daniel I really appreciate it.
I don't know if there is some method of clearing/refreshing the viewport to get rid of that without having to quit and reopen the file?
I really hate to keep asking questions, I'm sure you have plenty of your own things to work on but I'm having different issues now. It seems to be rendering much more consistently in 2.81, I abandoned volume fog cube, that just wasn't looking good and seemed to be contributing to the crash on my end for whatever reason, so It's rendering better, still crashed a few times but not as often, especially after deleting the volume cube, which I probably wasn't implementing the right way. The problem I'm seeing now is some kind of weird animation stacking, sometimes, for no discernible reason, the particles are stacking after a loop, so when I'm at frame 1 the emitter is where it should be but the particles from the end of the animation, that shouldn't be alive yet, are persistently frozen there throughout the animation. I don't know if that makes sense. I attached a screen shot if that helps explain it. This happens on my end in both Cuda and Optix.
Very cool Daniel, and thank you for your time, effort and very, very quick responses. I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating it is when it feels like you're stumbling over pebbles and everyone else seems to be bounding over boulders.
Ok, I'll try it out. This is going to sound very stupid, but the daily build isn't a new install? I don't see an install file in the zip, so I just extract the folder to Blender Foundation folder?
Is either one more stable than the other in your opinion?
Haven't yet, just very wary of daily builds, especially when it says on the build page The following builds have the latest features and cool bug fixes.(Great!) They can be unstable and mess up your files.(Um....) Use at your own risk.(OK, I guess?)
