J K L — play backwards / pause / play forwards.
Pressing J/L multiple times is a speed multiplier.
Holding K (pause) and pressing J/L is a prev/next frame.
If this keys will be chosen, I'd also assign a key for "jump to first frame" around them, Ctrl+J for example.
Space should be used for viewport. Ether going full screen, or switching views (I vote for latter, especially with 1-2-3-4 modifiers). Animation for me would be perfect as [every] NLE and video app: J-K-L.
I think A/Double-A quite satisfactory and intuitive. Unless it's being changed to something else. Maya has a zoom in option, but I think everything in this regard should be build around F key. IMHO
1-9 keys are used for the modes/elements (Object, Vertex, Edge, Face, Sculpt etc)
Ah, good :)

I do think, what it's better to tie it with 2.8 stable release, and keep polishing til 2.8b or 2.81 or whatever.
2.8 is one of the very significant iterations in Blender history. Even UI is overhauled. And it's the best time to introduce new build-in keymap.
