Hi, this commit causes crashes since it works on uninitialized variable "vod" in some cases. See functions "ndof_orbit_invoke" and "ndof_orbit_zoom_invoke"

What is the correct way for me as a noob to contribute with patches for a bugs? Any way, here is a patch that solves the issue
Tobias Johansson (barfot) updated the diff for D1299: Left adjust text on all buttons.
Both buttons with and without icon is now has left aligned labels in the toolbar. The buttons in the physics tab is still centered.

If I am not mistaking, I think we can close this one. It is possible to specify the tab background using ThemeSpaceGradient.tab_back. In the GUI this setting is available here:
User Preferences / Themes / 3D View / Theme Space Settings / Tab Background
