Sorry, just to confirm. Is it solved in Blender 2.9? For I saw the issue in 2.83.

Yes, I had another clip running in background. I tried to send a minimal version of the problem.
T51828 seems to be the same problem. Sorry I couldn't find it before submitting report. Hope having another case helps solving it.
