Regarding this problem with semi-transparent fills there is a popular feature request on right-click select, that could solve the issue also:

A slower solution could also be part of the smoothing option, available as a post-processing setting.

I just checked on another computer. At least it is not a problem of AMD graphic cards.
LinuxMint / Nvidia looks similar:
