Josias Mainardi (josiasmainardi) closed T88295: Mouse wheel generating high number of events in macOS Big Sur (MacBook Air M1) as Resolved.
Found the issue: it is related to the Mos utility (https://mos.caldis.me/) used to reverse the mouse scroll and smooth the mouse wheel. The smooth scroll function makes this behaviour to appear.

I tried with a CSL Vertical Wireless (dongle) mouse, a USB wired mouse and a XP-PEN Star 06C tablet. For all of those, the behaviour is the same for the functions that uses the mouse wheel.
