The latest 2.93 has python 3.9 and that works !
I've tried 2.93 before, but they all had python 3.7 and that did not work.
I'll leave 2.92 for what it is and switch to 2.93 instead.

this obj hold a few vertices and lines
the mtl file is redundant, e.g. it is empty

it is not so much as not having a material, as well as an object having edges without at least one face.
