I am disappointed with that kind of bug filtering !

Look at the attached image.
Those "pinkish" lines are seams. And they are completely ignored by smart_project .
Recently Devs have changed something in the smart_project operator cause it gives error when using parameters that are included in current offcial 2.90.1 API and no info in the Changelog that something has been developed recently ( with 2.91 version I have to use Radians instead Degrees ).
You can download my add-on ( sorry for the quality of the code inside it ) and see that I had to use other parameters (watched from the operator call in Bblender ) than are mentioned in official API.

I would like to add that the physical connection is active.
Just the line disappears and is not displayed. But connection works.
If you will try disconnect that "invisible" wire then you will see this wire partially disconnected and sicked to the cursor as should be ( but when connecting nodes was invisible)

yes, you are right. this is a theme problem.
I have a file what has been created in previous version of blender with some Transform Orientations already added... and problem exists.
Problem still appears...
Fortunately I have my custom startup file, but all that stuff like enabled Add-on I have to do from scratch and all settings that are not stored outside the settings file have to be manually set.
But I do not want to complain... too much.
I hope that all your work will make Blender a super pro application.
So thank you and please be patient for me and my bug reports also :)
After Reset to default buttons showed up.
I will have to loose my setup again :(

So afaict, you can enable that, save preferences and should be fine?
but another problem appears:
When you do Reset To Default and open Preferences then WHOLE BLENDER UI LAGS as HELL ! :)
Until rerun. After restart works fine.
It also works like that when you run 2.81 with no config directory and when you pick the usage of config from the 2.80 version.
Then after that when you open Preferences Blender will LAG as hell till restart.
FOUND!
Just a config checkbox:
Preferences->Editing->Objects->Duplicate Data->Light Probe [ v ]
This Light Probe option needs to be checked.
I have checked.
This is not an add-on. I have disabled all add-on and rerun Blender but problem still appears.
Still searching for the cause...

After Reset to Defaults it works.
But I have all my UI setup already done and how can I fix this problem avoid reset to defaults ?
It is quite strange that kind of behaviour need total Blender reset.
Maybe it is another way ?

Because of this experiment I cannot make proper Lightmaps based on SmartUV cause my add-on needs to create proper islands margins based on SmartUV.

I would like to ask you if you are going to implement sth new then make for it an option to set ( for example for new SmartUV margin analysis: advancedmargin=1 in python code with some checkbox in SmartUV unwrap for GUI ) .
Then new solution will not disturb current well working solution :)
And If I will want to use new solution then I will use specific option to enable it.
Simple and comfortable for everyone. Please roll-back SmartUV default behaviour to the day before that update.
I hope you understand that many of us working with Blender 2.80 in "production mode" - simply because is better in many aspects that 2.79 :)

No, it is not.
When you copy->paste between two different files then pasted object is not selected nor active.
I checked - this is a Collection problem. When you copy->paste in the root Scene collection, then it works as should.
But when you are using other nested collections then it does not work.

So you claim that is good when I request by script to have this area to work with bpy.context.area.type = "IMAGE_EDITOR" and python shows checking by print("Current area=",bpy.context.area.type) ) that he thinks that he has switched the context area BUT it does not really work till the mouse cursor is not over that demanded area ?

Not always one way is suitable for everyone.
We have tested sth like "one-right-way" in the past and it was called - communism. I honestly do not recommend that way for anyone :)
But I am joking now ...
Only one conclusion is that all depends on this what SHOULD and CAN (in the matter of resources and time) BE GIVEN in API for developers to use.
So all depends on you guys and your vision.

This kind of user action from application UI against integral part of own software should be prevented by application internal logic not OS privileges mechanism.
You do not have to delete this file from the explorer or any file manager going to Blender application folder (i.e.: c:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender_2-80\2.80\scripts\presets\keyconfig\blender.py ).
Problem is that you can do it just from Blender by clicking that [-] button at the "Blender" key presets.
When you do it then... say good bye for working Blender ( till you undelete this file or unzip from Blender installation archive )

Panel is very handy for me.
But I will try to add it to the UV menu also.
I have to say that I do not use Blenders menu at all. Just shotcuts and panels.
I use menu only if I cannot find a shortcut for desired operation. :)

Yes,
the noise happens in 2.79b also when OpenAL is enabled.
But in 2.79b when I change to None then config change is saved for good.
( Notice that in 2.79 empty device is called as None and in 2.80 as Null )

Current solution is not good for professional ArchViz.

I added a file Kuchnia-R12-Okno-L-delete-crash.blend that bases on previous files.
Here CRASH is made when trying to delete object in Collection BUDYNEK named Okno-L.
When collection BUDYNEK contained more objects and I was deleting objects in there then I was crash randomly at other objects in collection. :(
