But, doesn't the direction of the face's normal directly effect whether or not the mesh is manifold or not? I'm pretty sure it does, at least in fluid simulations, because a non-manifold mesh won't hold water. In that circumstance, it would be very useful information to see that the face has 2 normals and thus is actually allowing the mesh to be manifold & water-tight.

On a side note, I appreciate your help and was wondering where do I ask general questions like "I see there is an Award Token option on this page -- is this for the bug reporter to award tokens to the bug solver to show gratitude or is it for the solver to award tokens to the reporter for finding & reporting a valid bug?"

One more thing that might be really nice given how OS Xs bottom-positioned dock is problematically in the way for resizing would be to create a way to set the default window size. I've gotten so used to having the dock on the bottom...damn the dock!

I really apologize for not noticing that before...I think that maybe because the cursor changed to resizing cursors on the sides but not on the corner I never moved my dock so that I'd have enough time to find the corner and pull on it. Maybe in the new release the cursor can change to the corner-resizing cursor so that we'll know it's possible, particularly if there's no pull tab.

OMG! Thank you so much! I'd never gotten to use it because I had my OS X's dock on the bottom of the screen, so I couldn't get to that corner easily. I just moved my dock to the side and now I just discovered that 2.69 will indeed resize! That's so cool...thank you so much!

That's correct. There is no pull tab shown in the lower right.

Thanks for clarifying the cursor on the edge...that does help. However, I'd still like to be able to resize the main window via a lower right pull tab. Is it easy to put one of those on?

I deleted my 2.69, rebooted, then installed 2.57.0 - r36339M and it won't resize either. I then looked for earlier versions on the older releases link you sent, but so many of them don't list OS X versions. According to http://www.oldapps.com/mac/blender.php 2.27 should work on OS X, but the official releases link doesn't show an OS X version. I hesitate to download from any other site lest it be unstable or worse. Which version do you recommend?
