**Short description of error**
Invisible faces when applying a 2nd material to a single object's face(s). Happens in eevee engine and every viewport mode except cycles render.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
Based on the default startup:
- create a mesh (cube is easiest)
- add 2 materials
- go into edit mode and assign the second material to any face
- invisible face clearly visible

This problem was fixed for applying a 2nd material to a whole object, but no less than that
