**Short description of error**
It is not possible to select objects in a collection using the Outliner with display mode set to 'Scenes'. This is true both if you left-click the collection or right-click the selection and choose 'Select Objects'. Note that this //may// be related to T89479.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
1. Open the attached file
2. Ensure the outlier is set to display mode 'Scenes'
3. Click on either the Cylinders or Cubes collection
Expected behaviour: objects in collection shown selected in the viewport with orange outline
Observed behaviour: objects are not selected (they are deselected if previously selected).
