**System Information**
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 451.48
**Blender Version**
Broken: version: 2.83.2, branch: master, commit date: 2020-07-09 05:50, hash: `rB239fbf7d936f`
Worked: 2.82, 2.83.0 and 2.90
**Short description of error**
When you link a collection with Instance Collection TURN OFF and then Save the Blender file. The collection and object inside it will be removed from the scene.
This isn't happening on 2.90 though.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
- Open Blender, save as whatever name you want, let say ( Default.blend ) also make sure there is a collection in it,
- Open a new Blender instance
- Go to File > Link > Choose Default.blend > Collection > Collection name
- Make sure to Turn OFF Instance Collection check box
- Save Blender file.
- See the linked collection was removed from the scene. ( Although the library is still listed on Blender File Outliner )
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]
You can use default Blender startup file.
