**System Information**
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.1
GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M330

(reproducible on other Windows PCs of my friends I don't know specifications of)
**Blender Version**
Broken: 2.79b (not sure about the build version. Latest based on Ubuntu repositories, which specify the version to be "2.79.b+dfsg0-1")
**Short description of error**
Rendering the attached .blend file sometimes produces an intended render, and other times a weird mess.
Example GIF:

I'm unable to figure out the exact reason of the weird behavior - as removing modifiers, simplifying the curve used in Curve modifier, simplifying the object that is selected in the Boolean modifier's mesh, or deleting a single vert in the mesh that's not connected to anything all fix the issue. I tried my best to simplify the .blend file.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
1. Load up the .blend file below in Blender 2.79b
2. Click "Render" repeatedly (as seen in example GIF)
3. Observe differing results (as seen in example GIF)
