Ive tried different versions of blender, updating drivers for my components and such but nothing has worked. I have enough memory, neither my cpu or memory seems to be taking a hit when it crashes. Also crashes when trying to open rendering. And i can no longer open files from files without it crashing. Files i didnt have a problem opening, editing or rendering yesterday. **Exact steps for others to reproduce the error** edit>preferences file>open window>new window
