I've recently found a very nice feature of Blender VSE, that is removing spaces between strips. The hothey is Backspace.
If I put my Playhead between two sets of strips and press Backspace, everything after the PLayhead wll be moved to touch the first strips before the Playhead, removing gaps.
Geat for quickly cutting out parts of the footage. I used to manually move the strips to do this.
The problem I have is that sometimes I have a hidden strip higher in the stack with a tag overlay that is hidden (to make frames render faster in the preview). If Remove Gaps function could ignore hidden strips, or if there was an option like Shift-Backspace to Remove Gaps ignoring hidden strips - that'd make my life easier.
What do you think?
