**Short description of error**
I havent had a problem past couple of days with blender, but suddenly i could no longer open preferences, a new window or simply open a new file without the program crashing. Ive tried different versions of blender, updating drivers for my components and such but nothing has worked. I have enough memory, neither my cpu or memory seems to be taking a hit when it crashes

file>open
window>new window
