**Short description of error**
Roughness maps created by using Attribute Painting results in sharp edges and patterns in Cycles.

This is from a personal project rendered with cycles at 4k with 200 samples and openimage denoising

I'm using soft brushes so the problem shouldn't come from a sharp edges brush.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
- add Suzanne
- go to sculpt mode, remesh and start painting with gray scale values
- use this map in the the roughness slot and choose a darker base color
- render view cycles shows sharp edges and shapes (use an hdri to better see reflections and the issue)
