Blender 2.8 now includes a series of Workspaces built in. However, these could use some more work.
Mainly, here's what we could improve:
- Add correct modes to all the workspaces
- Make sure we always put the Properties on the right for consistency
- Make the toolbar slim by default, now that we have fast tooltips (saves enormous amount of space)
- Introduce a more suitable default Workspace with a Timeline, and which is set to Object Properties rather than Render Properties, for adding and manipulating your basic scene setup.
Below is a list of Workspaces and how we might improve them:

We could also replace the timeline with the Asset Manager for quickly pulling in assets in your scene, when that is added:

==Character Animation

==Rendering
Not sure if we should even keep this one. What's the point of it, if renders appear in a new window anyway?
