Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps
I initially had same hardware but the OS were Windows XP SP3 and blender v2.62 performed well , now after upgrading my OS to windows 7, I am facing the installation issues. I have done troubleshooting so far referring to the blogs but I guess I had to ask for support as I am not a technical person. I use blender for second life gaming studies and learning.
