**Short description of error**
Adding and modifying a curve causes an interference to some other primitives in the scene (or ones previously deleted), which is resulting a crash on the any next action.
**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error**
Start a new scene, delete the default cube, add a curve (arc/circle/line/etc). Now try adjusting the curve base parameters, like the "End Angle" for the arc in example. The default cube which was deleted before will reappear. Upon adding a curve the mode will be automatically changed to the Edit mode. Switch back to the Object mode, and clicking anywhere in the viewport will cause a crash. Once the glitch happen, it's even not possible to save the scene, as it will cause a crash. Workaround for the empty start scene: after adding a curve - go to the Object mode, then select the "new" cube in the Scene collection (and it's only safe to select it in the Collection list), then right click it and choose delete. But it's definitely not a solution as far as there are some scene objects which should not be deleted. Bug is not happening in the 2.81 though, but it's presented in every other following versions.
